Richard Meisenheimer, Jr., age 80, of Morgan Hill, California, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 27, 2024. Born on January 26, 1944, in Fresno, California, he was the son of Richard Meisenheimer, Sr. and Edna Meisenheimer. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leslee Meisenheimer, and his siblings, Pamela Meisenheimer and Dennis Meisenheimer. He is survived by his sister, Karen Brinks, his daughter, Donna Yeager, son-in-law Mark Yeager, and grandsons Tyler and Jordan Yeager.
For 47 years Richard was a devoted husband to Leslee, until her passing in 2015. He met his lifetime love through his brother, Dennis. Together they created a loving family for their only child, Donna.
Richard was a proud grandfather who attended every game and school event of Tyler and Jordan, always cheering them on with pride. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family, they were his greatest joy.
A small business owner and skilled mechanic, Richard dedicated his career to the Chevron stations he owned, following in the footsteps of his father. His work was not just a job; it was a reflection of his love for hard work and commitment to his community.
He was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the Navy, a period of his life that shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty.
Richard was a sports enthusiast who embraced an active lifestyle. He found great joy in skiing, softball, bowling, basketball and especially pickleball, where he made many lasting friendships on the court.
As a lifelong member of the church, Richard found a welcoming community at West Hills Christian Church, which enriched the later years of his life. He deeply valued his friendships within the church and regularly attended weekly bible study and Sunday services. He loved to help people. From helping his neighbors to joining organizations such as Joni and Friends, he donated not only his money but his time. He was a handyman, a jack of all trades. There wasn't much he couldn't build or fix. He participated in missions to help build houses in Mexico right up until he turned 80.
