Ricky Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grant Funeral Services - Estill Springs on Dec. 27, 2024.
Ricky Allen Davis (AKA Ricky D) of Cowan passed this life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 and went to be with his beloved Granny Lou and PawPaw Jake. Ricky was born on September 4, 1975 in Sewanee to Shirley Walker Curtis.
Ricky was beloved by his family and his many friends. He was there to do anything for anybody from helping a friend in need or volunteering to help clean and mow the gravesites of family and extended family members. No matter what he had going on he always had a smile for everyone. He could sit and tell stories about his PawPaw Jake all day long. He was always saying how much he loved his wife, son and mother. Ricky worked hard to overcome his past and he succeeded. He always worked 2 to 3 jobs to provide for his family. He was employed at Henley Supply in Decherd for several years. Ricky loved the Lord.
Ricky will always be missed. We will always miss his frequent phone calls and his "I Love You" texts.
Ricky was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Jake and Sadie Walker; his siter-in-law, Laura Curtis and his Aunt and Uncle, Glenn Walker and Doris Jenkins.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Kia Summers Davis and their beloved Pitbull "Blu"; son, Stewart Davis, his beloved mother, Shirley Curtis; his in-laws, George and Sharon Summers; brothers, Jason (Crystal) Curtis and their children; Brother, Jonathan Curtis; special nephew and niece, Caleb and Maribell; sister, Valerie Sawyer and children and special Aunt, Ruth McBee.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with burial to follow at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 30, 2024 from 5 – 8 PM at Grant Funeral Services.
