Ricky Glenn Jeter, 67, peacefully passed away in his sleep on October 14, 2024, at his home in Seymour, TX.
Ricky was born on July 26, 1957, to Loyd and Geneva Jeter at Seymour hospital. Ricky attended Seymour High School where he graduated in 1975 and then he attended college in Waco, TX. Ricky has served as Justice of the Peace for Baylor County since 2015. Ricky enjoyed taking trips with his wife Melissa and spending time with his family. He was the best Dad and Gampy anyone could ask for. Ricky was quite a character, he was so full of energy, had the best stories and was truly a kid at heart. Anyone that knew Ricky knew how kind, loving, caring he was and how he never met a stranger. Ricky loved his job and had many hobbies he enjoyed outside of work. He his preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Geneva Jeter, brother-in-law Dennis Gilbreath and grandchild Baby Holub.
Ricky his survived by his loving wife Melissa Jeter, pets Jayde, Honey, Bo and Sandy. Daughters Carli and husband Cody Holub of Seymour, TX, Kayla and husband Chuck Jones of Hillsboro, TX, Kourtney and Gary Niell of Seymour, TX. Sister Linda Gilbreath of Seymour, TX. Daughters Casey Watson and Samantha Smith. Nieces Sonja Bratcher, Robin Daughtry, Kersten and Cheyenne Boyd. Nephews Tristan, Lance and Nicholas Boyd. Great nephews, Kingston and Noah. Mother-in-law Billie McDonald of Seymour, TX. Brother-in-Law Michael and Cember Boyd of Holliday, TX. Sister-in-law Debbie Archer of Seymour. Grandchildren, Ashtyn Redder, Ansleigh and Aidyn Holub. Grayson, Shelby, Abby and Paisley Jones. Matt and Haiden Niell.
A celebration of life well be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1-3 pm at the Ice House in Seymour, TX under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. The family ask those who attend to bring a funny story to share in honor of Ricky Jeter that reflects his life and the legacy he leaves behind.
