Mr. Ricky J. True of Richview, IL departed this life in Richview, IL on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:12 P.M. He had attained the age of 70 years, 8 months and 14 days.
Mr. True was born on January 30, 1954, in Centralia, IL, the son of Louis and Patricia (Murray) True. He was united in marriage to Alice Montgomery for 35 years, and she preceded him in death. He later married Bobbie (Fletcher) Vaughn on June 30, 2024, and she survives his passing.
Ricky was a over the road truck driver for many years. He was a member of Richview Methodist Church for over 40 years. Ricky enjoyed socializing and talking to people. He loved his family and dog dearly and cherished the times he spent with them.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Bobbie Vaughn-True of Richview, IL; son, Jason True and wife Jennifer of Centralia, IL; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Easton, Carson, Jayla and Jett; brother, Michael True of Woodlawn, IL; sister, Patricia True of O'Fallon, IL; nephew, Craig Panzau of New Baden, IL; niece, Stacey (Michael) Hall of Shiloh, IL; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Alice True; son, Micah True and nephew, Chad True.
Per the wishes of Ricky and his family, cremation was performed, and a memorial service will be held at Richview United Methodist Church in Richview, IL on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 4 P.M. with Rev. Mark Meyers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Richview Cemetery.
There will be no visitation hours.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Richview Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
