Robbie Griggs, age 24, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Robbie was born June 7, 2000 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of James W. Griggs II and Stacey Plummer Griggs. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis and was a member of Faith Church in Somerville, Tennessee. He was employed as a custom side by side (SXS) mechanic and builder.
Robbie was the embodiment of love. His life was bigger, brighter and fuller than anyone you have ever known. Robbie was the kindest soul filled with the largest heart. He adored his family, his blue truck and “Pinky” his SXS. He loved riding four-wheelers, motorcycles, his SXS and especially anything outside and involving mud.
Robbie loved fast trucks and fast cars. He was at his happiest when he was hanging out in his shop, especially with his friends, turning wrenches and fixing the last thing he broke. He was the life of the party and the reason people still hold smiles on their faces, despite being gone way too soon. He was the greatest man to know. Robbie loved his family, his friends and his god-daughter, Bailey, more than life itself. He will forever be remembered for his heart, his light, his friendship and for his love of the color pink.
Robbie is survived by his parents, James Griggs and Stacey Griggs and his sister, Mackenzie Griggs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, PawPaw James Griggs and MawMaw Joan Griggs.
Funeral Services for Robbie were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Chad Baker of Faith Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Nathan Cook, Danny Griggs, Logan Dunn, Jacob Clayton, Gabe Pulliam, JD Weaver, Austin Plummer, MJ Hughes, Colton Williams and Holden McCraw.
