It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Breyer (nee) Ballard, who departed this world peacefully at the age of 81. She was a cherished, mother and grandmother, whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones.
Shirley is survived by her beloved children: Lynn Grand and her husband Warren, Scott Breyer, and Kristen Roy and her husband, Chuck. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Kaitlyn, Samantha, Jimmy, and Matthew. Shirley was predeceased by her dear grandson, Nicholas and her brother, Richard Ballard. Shirley was also predeceased by her parents, Nettie and Freddie. She was a pillar of strength and love for her family, always providing guidance and support.
She served as an Assistant Manager at Hudson City Savings Bank, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues and clients alike.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Shirley's life at the wake, which will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley's name to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to the Community Church of Glen Rock is at 344 Rock Rd., Glen Rock, NJ 07452 are appreciated by the family.
