Robert, age 61, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. A native of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a longtime resident of Walker, Louisiana, Robert was a man whose love, loyalty, and faith shaped every part of his life and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He especially cherished those who lovingly called him "Pawpaw," a title that brought him immeasurable joy. His devotion to his family was matched only by his deep dedication to his faith. A committed Christian, Robert devoted his life to Jesus. He shared his gift openly through his testimony, the way he followed Christ, and the example he set each day. His life was a reflection of grace, humility, and steadfast belief. A loyal Minnesota Vikings fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. He also loved the thrill of NASCAR, always rooting for Jeff Gordon with enthusiasm. In his later years, he embraced a new hobby and proudly became a gaming pro on his Xbox. Robert's life was defined by love, faith, and the unique interests that made him who he was. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were blessed to share in his life.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Posey Dissoe; daughter, Crystal Harrell; sons, Ricky Harrell (Maddie) and Jody Morris; sister, Tami Harrell (Richard); brother, Michael Phillips; grandchildren, Nevaeh Autrey, Rori Autrey, Piper Autrey, Jazzmine Harrell, and Blaine Harrell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Walters; father, Willie Dissoe; and brother, Matthew Walters.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tami Harrell, Michael Phillips, David and LaShon Burileson, Mark Carroll, Dr. Cenac, Dr. Perez, Dr. Aaron, and Nurse Jessica for their care and compassion to Robert.
