Hazel Ortyl Obituary

Hazel Dean Ortyl (Carter), 102, formerly of Mayfield, KY, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. She is survived by her children Cathy Waters, Bill Keller, Vick Moll, Jeff Keller, and Rick Keller, and was preceded in death by her son Joe Ortyl. Hazel also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Rodney, Billy, Andi , Rebecca, Devon, Amber, Jeffrey, Joella, Samantha, Lola, and Tyler, and was preceded in death by her grandson Ricky. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who adored their "Mommom." Hazel worked in a sewing factory making bulletproof vests and continued working until the age of 95. She was married to her loving husband Warren Clemmer. Known as one of the strongest women, Hazel's love, resilience, and devotion to family will forever be remembered and cherished. Those who knew Hazel will remember her as the strongest woman they ever met, a matriarch whose spirit will continue to inspire generations. Her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering love will forever be missed but never forgotten.
