Robert Williams Obituary

Mr. Robert L. Williams, 82, of Airline Community, Bowersville GA, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia GA.
Born on February 28, 1942 in Lavonia GA, he was the son of the late Noah P. Williams and Frances Westmoreland Williams Phillips. Robert was a retired Loom Technician from Springs Industries. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved Bass Pro Shop. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and playing Santa Claus all over Northeast Georgia. He was also a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Hope Bowers Williams; three daughters: Becky Little (Mark) of Eatonton GA, Melissa Osborne (Joey) of Hartwell, Jennifer Jones (Todd) of Grayson GA; eight grandchildren: Kaitlyn Jones (Austin), Cody Little (Meredith), Lyra Kate Osborne, Lily Hope Osborne, Lindsay Klaire Osborne, Trey Jones, Maggie Hollis Jones, Colson Jones; three great grandchildren: Presley Jones, Addie Little and Ryder Little; a sister: Jenette Garrett of Alto GA; a nephew: Ricky Heaton of Royston and also his hunting buddy: Smitty Ellis of Lavonia. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Martha Atkinson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Williams will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
