Ronald Kent "Ron" Church, 76, of Fillmore, Indiana passed away Sunday, September 29th, 2024. He was born August 18th, 1948 in Danville, Illinois to his parents, Herman and Deveril (Wroughton) Church. He married the late Jeane A. (Wolfe) Church on July 28th, 1968.
Ron is survived by his son, Rick Church of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Julie Parker (Kevin) of Fillmore; three grandchildren: Jake Spray of Fillmore, Emily Spray of Danville, and Josie Spray of Mooresville; one soon to be expected great granddaughter; and one sister, Jan Daily (Brian) of Arcadia.
Ron is preceded in death by both of his parents: wife, Jeane A. Church; and twin daughters.
Ron was a 1966 graduate of Ambia High School in Ambia, Indiana. He was a Farmer in Ambia, Indiana for 45 years. Ron loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and camping. He enjoyed golf cart rides with his dog "Emma". He was a loving father and mentor who never met a stranger. His generosity was unmatched, he'd give the shirt off his back to help others. His deep faith as a devout Christian guided his actions and the way he connected with people.
A private family gathering will be held in memory of Ron. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ron's memory to Floyd Township Fire & Rescue, 6901 E Co Rd 380 N, Fillmore, IN 46128

I'm so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I love seeing the photo of him on the Pontoon. They both loved living on the lake and I was so happy to help them in their time in Tomahawk. God's peace to the family. Jackie Leonhard
