Ronald Parker, son of the late Dave Parker and Retta (Anthony) Lyne was born on November 4, 1946 in Randles, Missouri and departed his life on Monday, September 9, 2024 at his residence in Whitewater, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
He was a former employee at General Motors in St. Louis, a construction worker for Labor Union #1104, and later in life worked at Pocahontas Lumber in Jackson, Missouri for several years. Mr. Parker was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump, Missouri, an avid Duck Hunter and Fisherman.
On June 20, 1964 he was united in marriage to Joyce Poston in St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Parker survives of the home in Whitewater.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son, David (Tara) Parker of Burfordville, Missouri; sister, Deloris Jackson of Delta; five grandchildren Brandon (Mackenzie) Parker of Chaffee, Brent Parker of Kansas City, Braden Parker of Mokane, Missouri, Chelsie Parker and Rileigh Parker both of Burfordville; two great-grandchildren, Kaden and Beckham; also, by other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Gearld Lyne and one son, Doug Parker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with a Masonic service at 7:00.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Rev. Joe Allen and Rev. Keith Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Barks Chapel Cemetery in Whitewater, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethlehem General Baptist Church of Crump or Barks Chapel of Whitewater.
