November 23, 1940 - February 17, 2026
Ronnie Forest Wilson, 85, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
He was born in Rutherford County on November 23, 1940 to the late Haye Thurmand Wilson and Kathleen Flynn Wilson.
Ronnie worked at Drexel Heritage for 39 years. He truly loved his work, and he made many friends during his time there. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Ronnie attended Yancey Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Beth Dalton, Lucy Lester, and Aileen Brown; four brothers, Thurmand Wilson, Page Wilson, Richard "Tommy" Wilson, and Roland Wilson; and one step-daughter, Cynthia Dellinger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Barbara Ann Seagle Wilson; one son, Rev. Mitchell Forest Wilson (Beth); two step-children, James Paul Dellinger and Jamie Dellinger Pittman; nine grandchildren, Joshua Wilson-Dunivan, Wesley Wilson, Chris Wilson, Annabeth Wilson, Ryan Pittman, Dakota Ramsey, CJ Dellinger, Laci Dellinger, and Jesse Dellinger; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Dean Owenby and Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. Burial will be private at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
