Rosemary Cahill Obituary

Rosemary Catherine Cahill passed away Friday, October 18, 2025, in Fitchburg, WI, at the age of 90. She was born August 3, 1934, in Evanston, IL, to parents, Edmund and Edna, née Coover, Cahill. She graduated from St. Peter Grade School, in Skokie, IL, in 1948; Marywood High School for Girls, in Evanston, in 1952; and Mount Mary College (now University), in Milwaukee, WI, in 1956, as an occupational therapist. Throughout her OT career she continued to provide excellent and compassionate care to all of her patients. She ultimately attained her Ph.D. After retirement she pursued her lifelong interest in art and painting. She eventually moved to Madison, WI, to be close to extended family.
Rosemary is survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Mavourneen and Jerome Kelly; nephews, Kevin and Brian Kelly; faithful cousin, Mary Breski; and other cousins and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Edna Cahill; niece, Colleen Kelly; and dear friend, Patricia Plunkett.
Visitation, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 9 a.m. until time of Prayers, 9:45 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Peter Church of Ss. Peter & Lambert Catholic Parish, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Interment, Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, Niles.
