RoseMary Seifert passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, surrounded by family at her daughter Christine's home in Clermont, Florida.
RoseMary was born May 4, 1925 in Garrett, Indiana, to Herman and Johanna Richter. She married Robert Theodore Seifert on May 26, 1951 at Saint Leonard's Church in Berwyn, Illinois. RoseMary and Bob were passionate about family and had eight children, Theodore "Ted" Seifert (Tricia), Daniel Seifert, Caryn Seifert, Michael Seifert (Robin), Catherine Seifert, William Seifert (Carrie), Douglas Seifert (Jo-An), and Christine Cavender (Chuck). They have 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, sons Ted and Daniel, sister Elizabeth Jones, and brothers Richard Richter and David Richter.
RoseMary was a devout Catholic and an active member of Queen of Peace Parish for more than 30 years. She was a volunteer at the church gift shop, active with the sacrifice beads group, a member of the Council of Catholic Women, a Eucharistic Minister, and a Minister to the Sick. Mom had a keen sense of humor and loved to have fun. She was an avid game player and especially loved playing cards. Playing was mandatory when family and friends visited, which they did often. Mom adored babies and loved seeing all the candid shots her family sent via her electronic photo frame each day. When it was time to relax, Mom loved watching the birds gather on the feeders off her back porch and tending to her numerous potted plants.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St, Ocala, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW State Road 200, Ocala, FL, at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 21st. Her remains will be placed with her husband Robert's in Ocala.
