Richard G. Irwin, age 84, of Brick, NJ passed away on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 with his family by his side.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Richard lived in Linden before moving to Brick in 1969. He was a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan. For many years, he worked as an Insurance Broker to companies across the state of New Jersey. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 70 years and served as Scoutmaster of Troop 17, Brick. Richard was also a long-time member of the Brick Presbyterian Church.
In his personal time, he found joy in history, his model trains, and spending cherished time with his loving family.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol L. (Korte) Irwin; his children, Richard G. Irwin, Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Newark, DE, Karen Chirichello and her husband, Charles of Lavallette, NJ, and Jennifer Kelley and her husband, Christopher of Avondale, PA. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Heather, Robert, Emmi, Meghan, Kailee, and Sean; and his great-grandchildren, Molly, Jaxon, and Lucas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Marion Irwin, and recently his brother Thomas Irwin.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 28th, at 10:00 AM at the Brick Presbyterian Church, 111 Drum Point Rd, Brick, NJ 08723. Arrangements are under the care of Weatherhead Young Funeral Home in Brick.

On behalf of the Reveald family, our deepest condolences to the Irwin family. I never had the honor of meeting Richard, but am privileged to work with son. Rich is salt of the earth, an incredible individual with amazing talents, a true testament to the legacy Richard is leaving behind!
