Ruth Hazelwood-DeBerry Obituary
She was a longtime member of First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and a retiree of Our Lady of Peace Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.V. DeBerry, son, Terry Hazelwood and siblings, Mary Virginia Williams, Katrina Brown, Henry Wakefield, Dorothy Turner and Erma Dean Morgan.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Stanley Hazelwood Jr. (Karen), Sheila Newcomb, Debbie Carter, Sandra DeBerry-Lowe (Robert), Robert DeBerry (Cathleen), Richard DeBerry (Telicia), James DeBerry, David DeBerry (Dina), Ricky DeBerry, special niece Brenda Smith, and a host of grandchildren, great-children, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Saturday, September 21 at First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia Avenue.
Funeral: 12 pm Saturday, September 21 at First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia Avenue.
Burial: 12:30 pm, Monday, September 23 at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, 4701 Brownsboro Road.
Arrangements entrusted to A. D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St.
