It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Ann Moore on October 22, 2024, at the age of 82. Ruth was born on August 13, 1942 in Person County, N.C., to Ernest Thomas Reaves and Ruth Virginia Reaves.
Ruth and her beloved husband, Milton Moore were married 26 years. Ruth was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and always provided love and support for her family. Ruth was a godly woman who loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart.
Ruth was an extremely hard-working, smart, and dependable person. She worked for Eaton Corporation for 25 years until her retirement, where she was well respected by all her colleagues and highly valued. Despite her many responsibilities at work she always made time for her family.
She is preceded in death by: Ernest Reaves & Ruth Reaves (Father & Mother), Lillian Marie Reaves Rudder (Sister), Stonie Thomas Reaves (Brother) and her son, Thomas "Tommy" Ray George.
She is survived by her daughters: Angela Smith (Rob Smith), Terri George (Travis Gay), and Kelly Dew (Anthony Wilkerson); nine grandchildren: Kim Wallace (Ashley Wallace), Jeff Smith, Michael Scott (Jenna Scott), Stacey James (Rodney James), Dustin Dew (Jessica Dew), Anthony Dew (Chase Dew), Keith Dew (Dee-Dee), Brooke George, and Aaron George; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister: Stella Strouth; two brothers: Steve Reaves and Randolph Reaves.
In honor of her final wishes a family service will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 129 Grandfather Oak Rd. Roxboro, NC 27574 with the Rev. Steve Reaves officiating.
Ruth will be cremated and her remains will be divided amongst her family.
Brooks & White Funeral Home & Crematory will be assisting the family at their time of need.
