Ruth Ann Truax, age 64, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, October 26, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Ashland, PA on October 20, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Joan Jones Weitz.
Ruth had worked at the former Stroehman Bakeries, now Bimbo for 10 years and then went to work for Cracker Barrel Restaurants, where she retired in 2017. She enjoyed yard sales, hunting, fishing, cooking, and going to country music shows.
Surviving is her beloved husband, of 17 years, Mark Truax, whom she married on February 4, 2007; her fur baby, Rocky; and two siblings, Joan Beecroft (husband Bobby) and Randal Weitz; and her nephew and Godson, Eugene Weitz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Bissel.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
