Ryan Douglas Nomura
April 15, 1967 – October 25, 2024
Ryan Douglas Nomura, 57, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home in Worland, Wyoming.
Ryan was born on April 15, 1967 in Worland, one of three children born to Ronald Douglas and Helen Faye (Ridenour) Martins. He was father to three children, Gabriel, Seth and Zachary. He spent his High School years in Colorado Springs where he graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School. After highschool, he attended Casper College where he met his wife, Stacey Nomura. Following college they moved back to Colorado Springs for a time before they returned to Worland where he opened his business, Ryan Nomura Painting and Drywall.
Ryan had an appreciation for nature; he was an avid angler finding peace in the boat, on the bank, or on the ice. Along with fishing he also enjoyed hunting, hiking and just generally spending time connecting to nature, where he was able to relax his own way. Along with that, he spent his summers in college with the Forest Service where he was a Hotshot firefighter, building many of the trails in the Bighorn Mountains that we can all enjoy today. Spending time with friends and family was another way he liked to spend his time.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Riki and her husband, Dan White. Survivors include his father, Ronald (Kathy) Nomura of Worland, his mother, Helen Martins of Tampa, Florida; wife, Stacey Nomura; sons, Zachary Nomura of Worland, Wyoming Gabriel (Sarah) Basham of Gillette, Wyoming and Seth (Jamie) Basham of Lander, Wyoming; brother, Russell Nomura; grandchildren, Saul Anya and Sloane.
Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life and dinner will be held from 5:00 PM- 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Washakie County Fairgrounds. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
