Saint Georgia Mae Hampton was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1935, in Dearing, GA to both the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Essie) Hill. She entered eternal rest at her residence on Friday, September 27, 2024. In addition to her parents, Saint Hampton was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon James Hampton, Sr. and a daughter, Cynthia Rogers.
Saint Hampton was retired from working at various food services. She was a faithful member of the United House of Prayer for All People, and a dedicated member of the Senior Queens Board. Saint Hampton was always a friend to everyone. She en-joyed singing and shouting. During her spare time, she also enjoyed hosting yard sales and visiting yard other local yard sales. She could sell water to a well and wings to an angel if need be. Saint Hampton inherited the nicknames "Saint Turner" and "The Cake Lady." Saint Hampton exemplified love always!
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Bobbie Ann of Augusta, GA; a loving son, James (Mary Ann) Hampton of Dearing, GA; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a son-in-law, Johnny Rogers of
Dearing, GA; three sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae Walker of Thomson, GA, Annie Rose Belton of Augusta, GA and Mary Johnson of Harlem, GA; four brothers-in-law, Elder Edward of Thomson, GA, Deacon Johnnie Frank Edwards of Harlem, GA, Deacon
Walter (Brenda) Edwards and Marcus Edwards, all of Dearing, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
