Sally B. Hogan, 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Hogan. Sally is survived by her children: Maura Shanahan and her husband, Timothy, of West Barnstable; Sean Hogan and his wife, Danielle, of Parkton, MD; and Timothy Hogan of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Brynn of Burlington, VT; her sisters, Susan Peterson of Londonderry, NH, and Nancy Fitzgerald of Burlington, VT; and was predeceased by her sister, Mary Jane Molthen of Vienna, VA. Sally was a proud Nana to Rowan Dean, Chase Hogan, and Bennett Hogan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sally was born in Montpelier, VT, the second daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Burr) Brynn. She attended Christ the King School and Rice Memorial High School in Burlington, VT. After graduating from Hickok College in Boston, she worked as an administrative assistant over the years. Her favorite role was in the main office at Matthew Thornton Elementary School in Londonderry, NH.
Sally and Wally retired to Cape Cod in 1998, where she enjoyed volunteering, spending time with family, and traveling. She was a devoted Patriots fan and could not be disturbed on a Sunday afternoon.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care Sally received over the years from Kerry Eagar. We are forever indebted to her for helping to keep our mother comfortable in her home.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, at Chapman Funeral & Cremations, John-Lawrence Chapel, Route 28, Marstons Mills. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main St., Centerville. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, in care of Our Lady of Victory Church.
