Sandra Lynn Castleberry (née Hinckley), born in 1942, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2024. Sandra was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed.
Sandra grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Over the years, she worked in administration, real estate, and retail. She was an avid reader, and she had a special fondness for the beach, a place where she always found joy. She loved chow-chow dogs and shared her life with several throughout her life, including Cody Bear, Ms. Mischa, and Mr. Chang, all of whom held a dear place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buzzy Castleberry; her parents, John and Winifred Hinckley; her son, John Eric Thompson, and her grandson, Matthew Eric Thompson, as well as several beloved chow-chow dogs. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Yost; her stepdaughters, Cynthia Castleberry and Vivian Bland; her sister, Linda Birge (Dexter); her brother, Bob Hinckley (Sandy); her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
