Sandra Lee “Sandy” Clayton (nee Bott), of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Walter Lee Clayton; cherished daughter of the late William F. and Theresa Ann Bott; devoted mother of Carrie (Robert) Clayton-Swanbum, Laurie (Danny) Selph, Steve Clayton, Christine (Gary Jr.) Gruver, and Michael (Jessica) Clayton; loving grandmother of Kristen Ravens, Daniel (Mallory) Lavin, Tyler (Erin) Lavin, Ryne (Maggie) Swanbum, Caitlyn Swanbum, John Borth, Brandi Selph, Ashley Briggs, Daniel Selph, Jakob Clayton, Megan Clayton, and Kaitlin Clayton; treasured great grandmother of Alexis, Brayden, Ryder, Margot, Harper, Daniel III, Ibram, Zeidyn, Bryleigh, Abigail, and Kelsey; dear sister of Jacqueline (the late Robert) Bean, The late Shirley (Robert) Ringling, and brother-in-law, Frank Clayton.
Sandy, a loving mother of five, was a devoted wife to her husband, Walter, for 38 blissful years until his passing. She was fun, witty, and deeply family-oriented, finding joy in cooking, baking, and bringing her family together throughout the year with her delicious comfort food. Sandy loved traveling and always looked forward to her annual girls shopping trips. She also enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and visits to the casino with Walter. She had a warm, vibrant spirit and a deep love for her children. Sandy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
