Sandra Farrell Obituary

Sandra D. Farrell, a cherished and vibrant soul passed away while surrounded by her loved ones on November 18, 2024, at age 81.
She began her life on April 28, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up in Quincy, where she attended high school. As an adult, she moved to Framingham where she lived for years and later planted her roots in Milford.
Sandra worked at a dry cleaner for many years, so she could be home when her children returned from school. Before the dry cleaners, she worked at the Patriot Ledger Newspaper in Quincy.
She loved her late husband, Arthur J. Farrell, dearly, who passed in 2015. Together they built a beautiful family. Sandra's legacy is carried on by her beloved children: Andrea B. Amati and her husband Scott of Whitinsville, and Scott G. Farrell and his wife Denise of Whitinsville. Sandra was a loving sister to her brother Mark Swartz and his wife Dineen of Easton, and her sister Paula Damiano and her husband Don of Raynham. Her life was further enriched by the joy of her five grandchildren: Kenneth, Colleen, Nicole, Tyler, and Madison, who will miss her deeply. Sandra was predeceased by her daughter Stacie Chick and her parents, George and Katherine (Waldman) Swartz.
Known for her love of life's simple pleasures, Sandra was an avid mahjong player at the Milford Senior Center, in her friend groups, and with her family. Her competitive spirit, laughter, and positive attitude were infectious to all. She was a word search book fanatic; never to be seen without one in hand, sucked into the world of decoding jumbled letters. Another love of hers was the Boston Red Sox. Her love and passion for Elvis's music brought to her a sense of nostalgia, and an even greater sense of joy.
Sandra will be forever remembered for her undying loyalty to her friends and family. Everyone who met her can attest to her attentiveness and generosity in their relationship. She was the heart of every family gathering, a constant presence of comfort and joy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Grove Cemetery, Corner of Dilla St. and Rte. 85, Milford on Friday, November 22, 2024.
