Madeline Hammer Obituary

Madeline L. Hammer, age 36, of Eagan, died on Friday, October 31, 2025, at United Hospital, St. Paul, after a courageous three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held at Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Madeline Lael, daughter of Peter Hammer and Kay (Oman) Hammer, was born September 11, 1989, in St. Peters, Missouri. In 1998, her family moved to Owatonna, and she graduated from Owatonna High School in 2007. While in high school, Madeline was active in hockey, and that continued when she attended UW-Eau Claire. Madeline was very artistic and used this gift in graduating from Hennepin Technical College with an architectural drafting degree. She worked as a landscape designer for ProScapes in Eagan, where she became a certified landscape designer. She most recently worked for Village Green Landscape in St. Paul.
Madeline loved to spend time with her son, Charlie and watch him in all his activities, especially hockey. She had a love for legos, hunting with her Dad and spending time at the Hammer family cabin, where she was often found fishing off the dock with Charlie, shooting guns or building and tending to the fire.
Survivors include her son, Charlie; parents, Peter (and Kellie) Hammer and Kay Hammer; brother, Nick Hammer; grandmother Barbara Hammer of Aurora; step grandparents, Wayne and Marilynn Nelson; aunts and uncles, Becky Mattson, Paul (Susan) Hammer, Toby (Jenny) Hammer, Gloria Hammer, Liz (Rick) Wedan, Dave Oman, and Lael (Mark Vane) Oman; other relatives and friends.
Madeline was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lavern Hammer, and grandparents, Albert and Lorraine Oman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a scholarship fund for Madeline's son Charlie.
