Sara was born on November 8, 1946 in Marlin, TX. She was the daughter of the late Antonio Felan and Esther Cantu.
Sara married the love of her life, Domingo Luna, on July 4, 1960 in
Lockney, TX. They were married for 57 years. While married to Reverend Domingo, the couple were called to pastor at Templo Ebenezer, Vernon, TX where they served for 10 years. The couple were then called to minister at El Buen Pastor church in Muleshoe, TX in 2003, where they served for 10 years. After serving their time in Muleshoe, the family moved back to their hometown where they reopened Rios De Agua Viva church in
Lockney, TX. After the passing of Rev. Domingo Luna, Rev Sara Luna, took over as the head pastor at the church where she served to the day of her death.
Sara had a service heart while being a pastor's wife helping with church activities and fundraisers. Sara loved to spend time with her family and friends, basking in the love that was shown by her family. Sara enjoyed shopping, thrifting and collecting figurines. She was a staple in the family that reminded everyone to stay on the straight and narrow path of God. Her favorite phrase was "you pick, heaven or hell?"
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Luna, daughter Peggy Luna, son-in-law Salvador Bernal, and two parents Antonio & Esther Felan.
Sara is survived by her children; daughter Dalia Bernal, daughter Sandra & husband Jessie Vasquez, son Phillip & Lisa Luna, son Louis & Yoland Luna, son Domingo Luna Jr., daughter Mary and Fernando Clemente, son Michael Luna and daughter Rebecca Faubion. Domingo and Sara raised three grandchildren; April Ochoa, Amanda Ochoa and adopted Fevin Luna. Sara also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Although we are heartbroken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her love and memories will forever live on in our hearts.
