Scott M. Donnelly, 70, of Beaverton, Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 15, 2024, with his wife, Marian, by his side.
Born on Sept. 20, 1954, in Bronx, New York, Scott grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, attended Villanova University, and lived most of his adult life in Randolph, NJ, before moving to Oregon four years ago.
He was active in leading Boy Scouts troops, coaching youth soccer, and supporting his parishes in Randolph, NJ, and Beaverton, OR. Scott enjoyed family gatherings at Balch Lake, NH, and was passionate about fishing, golfing, and collecting coins from around the world. He also found great peace communing with nature, and will be remembered fondly for his lifelong love of animals.
Scott is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marian; son Scott F. Donnelly (Lindsey) and grandchildren Marin and Veer of Minneapolis, MN; brother James Donnelly of Beverly, MA; and sister Jeanne Donnelly of Berwick, ME.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Beaverton. A memorial service will take place in New Hampshire next spring.

Marian, Scott - Just learned of this. Am so sorry to hear. I much appreciated Scott´s help with a Randolph soccer team or two and his lively, energetic, light-hearted company. But also recall his being a great help when my family and I moved a few hundred yards in Randolph and I thought it wouldn´t really be a big deal. I was so wrong and Scott - without having ever been asked - stayed long into the day making up for my mis-judgment. A great heart, cheerful disposition. And a wonderful cheerleader for young Scott.
