Locust Gap – Shari Anne Margaret Garman, 61, of 276 Marshall St., passed away on October 21, 2024, at her residence.
She was born in Harrisburg on August 28, 1963, to Harry and Mary Janet (O'Brien) Garman.
Shari graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1981 and lived in Locust Gap for the past 52 years.
She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Locust Gap Fire Co. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races and picking drivers with her grandson, Lucas. She loved gardening and spending time outside. Gappers forever.
Shari is survived by her companion, Frank Hynoski; a daughter, Vanessa Herbert and her husband, Brandon; two grandchildren, Lucas Shipe and Owen Herbert; a sister, Debby Garman-Beaver; a brother-in-law, Steve Ross; a niece, Allora Koch; three nephews, Steven Ross, Eric Ross, and Jeff Beaver; as well as many friends and family members.
In addition to her parents, Shari was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ross; and mother-in-law, Sylvia Hynoski.
A heartfelt thank you to all the family and friends for their incredible support throughout Shari's battle.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 28th, at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki officiating in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 S. Market St, Mt Carmel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held Monday morning, from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C J Lucas IV, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Tornadoes Touchdown Club, 579 Wilburton Road, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
