Sharon Ann Harris (Smith) passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 80 in Elizabethtown, NY. Sharon was the loving daughter of Richard and Eunice Smith. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Tanya Hart.
Sharon had a passion for the outdoors and found solace at the family camp at Old Forge, NY.
She cherished her memories as a member of the Girl Scouts during her formative years. And especially cherished loving her grandchildren and her animals. Always eager to help others, she actively participated in her church, working alongside her husband, the late Rev. John Harris to teach children's sermons and bible studies. Known for her green thumb, Sharon cultivated sprawling gardens filled with vibrant blooms and hillsides of pumpkins.
She found joy in swimming and dancing and expressing her artistic talents through painting picturesque scenery on canvas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Harris, and her siblings John Smith and Barbara Barr.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Hart, her grandchildren Cassidy Hart and Avanlea Hart, and her great granddaughters, Zoey Anne Hart, and Bea Roux
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church of West Winfield, 452 E. Main St., West Winfield, NY.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, PO Box 188, 7521 Court St., Elizabethtown, NY 12932.
