Sharon Irene (Terry) McArdle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away after a health crisis surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on November 29, 1941, to Marilyn (Glinske) Stein and John Terry. Sharon married the love of her life, Frank McArdle, on May 4, 1963, at Sacred Heart Church in Roseville, Michigan. Their union of nearly sixty-two years was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and commitment. Together, they raised a beautiful family and built a life filled with joy, laughter, and shared adventures. This spirited city girl captured the heart of a country boy at a beach party in Oak Beach, Michigan. They made their first home in Royal Oak, Michigan, where Sharon balanced being a housewife and working part-time at Parker Elementary School while raising their children. Together, Sharon and Frank managed a lawn maintenance business for over thirty years, working side by side. True to a promise made on their wedding day, the couple spent the first thirty years of their marriage in the city and then relocated to the countryside of
Caro, Michigan, where they purchased forty acres of land in 1992.
Sharon had a vibrant personality and found joy in dancing with the love of her life, traveling, playing games, tending to her flower gardens, and caring for her dogs. She had a passion for collecting antique dishes, teapots, and cups and took pride in two of her favorite tasks: cutting the grass and cleaning the house. A member of St. Christopher Parish and the Red Hat Society, Sharon brought light and kindness to every gathering. Her generous heart touched the lives of many. Sharon will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her devoted spouse, Frank McArdle; children, Michael (Mary) McArdle Sr., Michelle McArdle, Kris (Marty) Reinelt, and Kim (Charlie) Ulrich; "adopted" children, Dennis & Mickey Turkette and Bob & Su Eremia; grandchildren, Stephanie Marie, Michael (Nikki) McArdle Jr., Amelia & Max Ulrich, Amber Chris, Amanda (Ryan) Eaddy, Amie Gojcaj, Allie K., Ben (Lyssa) Lynch, Brooke (Zach) Rocheleau, and Reece Eremia; and great-grandchildren, Austonia Werner, Parker, Preston & Jerzee Hale, Nolan, Penelope & Gwendolyn Lynch, Remi Rocheleau, Rayna Eaddy, and Gjon Gojcaj. Sharon also leaves her siblings, Barb (Al) Roy, Doris (Doug) DeRocco, and John Terry; as well as dear friends and extended family, Sheila & Arnie Rock, Mike & Jerrimie Putnam, Harold & Sue Knox, and the O'Brien family; and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn (Glinske) Stein; stepfather, Wilbert "Butch" Stein; father, John Terry; stepmother, Catherine Terry; sister-in-law, Cathy Terry; and son-in-law, Rich Cameron.
