Sharon Woodard Obituary

Sharon Kay Sutherland Woodard, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Richard and Karen Skaggs Sutherland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather McClure; and her sister, Evelyn Sutherland. Mrs. Woodard was a member of True Gospel Interdenominational Church of Stanley.
Mrs. Woodard is survived by her husband, Perry Lynn Woodard; her daughter, Jessica Woodall (J.J.); her siblings, Randy Sutherland (Angela), Michael Sutherland, Mary Gray (Donald), and Carolyn Morrow (Scott); her grandchildren, Trey, Hunter, June, and Jaxon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Woodard will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Pastor Randy Sutherland will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
