Shirley Floynoy Baggett, aged 90, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. Born on March 15, 1935, in the Herbine Community of Cleveland County, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Kirby (Buster) and Myrtle Mary Spakes Hollis.
Shirley's life was dedicated to her work as a beautician, a career that allowed her to connect with her community while showcasing her artistic talent and vibrant personality. Outside of her professional life, she had an array of passions that enriched her days. She found immense joy in cooking, gardening, and crafting, where her creativity flourished. Shirley was also a devoted follower of her faith, spending many hours reading the Bible and drawing strength from her spirituality. A cherished tradition was her time spent spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Shirley loved her home church, Whiteville Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the congregation.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Vicki Spradlin of Dover, Arkansas; her son, Kirby Baggett and his wife Carla of Benton, Arkansas; and her daughter-in-law, Annette Baggett of Rison, Arkansas. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will carry forth her spirit and memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Baggett, and her son, Kent Baggett, both of whom she missed dearly and who remain forever in the hearts of her family.
A graveside service to honor Shirley's life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison, with Brother Wes Sparks officiating. Her grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers, a testament to the deep bonds she fostered during her lifetime.
Shirley's compassionate spirit, creative talents, and love for her family will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
