Harry Paul Jackson, 70, of Taylor Springs, passed away the afternoon of September 13, 2025, peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 10 am to noon, followed by services starting at noon at the Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Pastor Matt Houser, nephew of Mr. Jackson, will officiate.

Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 14, 1954, in Litchfield, the son of Harry and Emily (Checko) Jackson, Jr.

He married the love of his life, the former Jody Houser, at Hillsboro Free Methodist Church on May 29, 1999. Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He worked for 40+ years as a lineman crew leader at Ameren. He was an active member of his community, serving on the Taylor Springs Village Board as Village President for several years following retirement. Harry truly cared for others and dedicated his time diligently to better his community for years to come. He was known for his larger-than-life personality and giving nature. His family will remember him for his booming laughter and huge heart. Anyone who knew Harry knew he would give the shirt off his back and shoes off his feet for a stranger or friend in need.

He is survived by his wife, Jody (Houser) Jackson; son, Harry P. Jackson of Spring Hill, FL; three daughters, Kimberly Jackson, Alexandria Jackson & Anna Jackson, all of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, Ashlynn Papin, Stormy (Chase) Witt & Kaci Papin; three great grandchildren, Saige, Beckett & Baylor; and sister, Virginia (Jackson) Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Emily Jackson Jr; sister, Susan Proper; and brother, Larry Jackson.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
