Shirley Vaughan Yeargin, 80, of Emerald Isle, formerly of Zebulon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, January 3, 2025 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, North Carolina. She was born on August 24, 1944 to Lota Fuller and Leo H. Vaughan.
Shirley is survived by her son, Kane Yeargin; step-children, Keith and Kim Yeargin; brother, Jerry Vaughan, grandchildren, Josh, Aaron, Danielle, Ashely, Hayden, Christian, Logan, James Yeargin and Brandon Brinkley; great-grandchildren, Isaac Kriger, Avery Yeargin, Isabella, Alayah Brinkley, Chase Faircloth, Carson and Kash Page.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Dee Yeargin in 2005.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 5356 Pearces Rd, Zebulon, NC 27597 with the Rev. Ron Wallace officiating. Entombment was private in the Yeargin Family Cemetery in Pearces.
Friends visited with the Yeargin family from 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock prior to the service at the church.
