Stephen Collins Foster II, age 61, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 9:25 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.
Stephen worked for Gibbs Die Casting before going to work as a machinist for Frields Machine Shop in Hebbardsville for over 10 years. He enjoyed golfing with his dad and deer hunting. Stephen was a faithful Christian man and attended Owensboro Christian Church and Abundant Life Assembly of God. He looked forward to meeting his friends weekly to play rummy. Most of all, Stephen loved his grandchildren and attending their baseball and soccer games.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father Stephen C. Foster, step-mother Jean Foster, and step-brother David Leslie.
Stephen is survived by his wife Penni Ashby Foster of Henderson, KY; daughter Nicole Barkley and husband Aaron of Henderson, KY; mother Joy Bridges of Thomasville, NC; step-sister Denise Healy of Henderson, KY; step-brothers Dennis Leslie of Evansville, IN and Jimmy Leslie of Florida; grandchildren: Camden Barkley, Kensington Barkley, and Hudson Barkley; as well as nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Stephen's Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Schwartz officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY, 42420 and the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284-0692.
