With great sadness we announce the passing of Steven Dennis Bent on Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 55.
Steven was born in Red Deer, Alberta to parents, Dennis and Laurel Bent. The family moved to Calgary in 1969 where he got his education. He ultimately followed in his father footsteps and pursued a career in the trucking industry. Steve, as his family and friends called him, was hardworking and respected by his peers and employers. Steve enjoyed his profession as a truck driver for many years.
Steve will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years, Stacey Bent (nee Sutherland); son, Taylor Bent; daughter, Brooklyn Bent; parents, Dennis and Laurel Bent; sister, Debbie (Rick) Nicol; brothers, Bryce (Debbie) Bent, Jason Bent; mother-in-law, Janis Sutherland; brother-in-law, Shane Sutherland. He was predeceased by his older brother, Blair Bent; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
