Steven Ireland Obituary

Steven Ireland, 65, of Selma, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at his residence.
He was born July 29, 1959, in Muncie, the son of Robert and Mary (Rowe) Ireland. Steve graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1977.
Steve worked as a Registered Indiana Watch Maker and Watch Repairman until 2003. Predominantly, he was employed with Ashcraft Jewelers for years until owning and operating his own watch-making company, It's About Time, and also owned the Meadowlark Pro Shop in the Liberty Bowl. Most recently, Steve was employed with Magna in the Quality Control lab for the last 17 years.
Mr. Ireland was an avid bowler who was a member of the Muncie Bowling Association and a member of the Muncie Bowling Hall of Fame. Steve bowled in 39 consecutive national championship bowling tournaments, traveling to many states over his career. He also was a volunteer bowling coach for the Wapahani High School Bowling Team for 7 years. Steve was a big supporter of the Wapahani High School Raider teams.
Steve loved spending time with his family and whatever activities they were involved in.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rebekah Black Ireland; two children, Nicholas Ireland, and Sophia Ireland; brother Bob Ireland (Carolyn); sister, Karen Hammons (Dewayne); mother-in-law, Sharyn Black (Greg Landis); sister-in-law, Melissa Cunningham (Steve); many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cathie Hunt; and father-in-law, Jim Black.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wapahani Bowling Team, 10401 E. 167 South, Selma, IN 47383.
