Mrs. Susan Marie Mager, 71 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2025. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 18, 1953 to the late Howard and Esther Vankleek. She married Steven Mager in Clarkston, Michigan on June 10, 1977 and together they celebrated 34 years of marriage before Steven’s passing in 2012. Sue has resided in Lewiston for 30+ years. She loved the outdoors whether she was fishing, hunting, or spending time in her garden. She liked crocheting, cooking, baking, and canning. Most importantly, Sue loved the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Sue is remembered by her children, Shane (Cassandra) Mager, Henry Mager, and Steven Mager; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and companion, Patrick Barney and his family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Esther Vankleek; husband, Steven; and sisters, Beverly, Barbara, and Diane.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Sue privately at this time.
