Susan McAteer Obituary

Susan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her biggest joy was her family and she devoted her life to being an exceptional mother and central figure for the family. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.
Susan will be dearly missed by her husband of 40 years, John A. McAteer; her daughters, Kellie McAteer, Stacey DiEmidio (Thomas) and Nicole Woods (Nathaniel); her grandchildren, Ava and Lucas DiEmidio, with a grandson on the way, Hudson and Noelle Woods; her mother, Mary Livesey; her brothers, William Livesey (Denise), Thomas Livesey and John Livesey.
She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Livesey.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin on Thursday, March 9 from 10:00-11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM. Interment will be held privately in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery. In honor of Susan's bright spirit, there will be a Celebration of Life following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Susan may be made to her favorite charities of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Nemours Children's Hospital of Delaware.
