Susan Snell Obituary

Susan "Sue" M. Snell, age 83, of Orrville formerly of Rittman, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Sue was born on April 27, 1941, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Fredrick and Lorraine (Cluchey) Spier. She married Harold E. and was married for 53 years. Harold died on August 9, 2011.
She worked in housekeeping for the Wadsworth/Rittman Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 2009.
Sue was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Orrville. She took great pride in spending time with each of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed cross stitching & crocheting, and was known for her baking which she made sure everyone was full.
Surviving are son, Harold E. Snell, Jr.; two daughters, Suzanne (Greg) Pauley, and Barbara (Steve) Cale; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother, Buzz Spier of Muskegon, MI; sister, Judi Grimard of Muskegon, MI; and her little faithful companion dog, Red.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Robert Snell; and brother, Fred Spier.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, with Pastor Ruthellen Moore officiating. Burial will take place at the Rittman Cemetery in Rittman.
