Susan Marie Steward (October 6, 1971-September 9, 2024)
Susan Marie Steward, 52, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away unexpectedly at Central DuPage
Hospital on September 9, 2024.
She was born in Arlington Heights in 1971 and blessed with amazing parents George and Eileen Steward, who absolutely never gave up on loving her no matter what. Susan attended Michael Collins Elementary and Margaret Mead Junior High Schools before graduating from James B. Conant High School, living on her own for decades after through the help of Resources for Community Living, a Rolling Meadows nonprofit that assists developmentally disabled adults to live independently.
Susan was preceded in death by her 4 grandparents and her beloved father, George Russell Steward, and is survived by her mother Eileen Steward, brothers Michael Steward and Matthew (Kerra) Steward, sister Mary (Michael) Harting, her beloved nephews Tyler and Luke Harting and Jackson Steward, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Tuesday, September 17 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home in Schaumburg, and Susan's funeral service will be held there at 7pm that same evening. Private burial the next morning at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine.
