Susie Jane Terry, age 62, passed away from this life on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Susie was born May 7, 1962, in Groesbeck, Texas, to the late James Dee Terry and Ellen Gay Head.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Susie was known for her compassion, thoughtfulness, and unforgettable eccentricity. Fiercely loving and just as stubborn, she was a unique soul who embraced life in her own way. Disliking technology, Susie preferred the timeless tradition of sending handwritten cards and letters to show her care.
Throughout her career, Susie served others as a waitress, bartender, and in home health care. In her personal life, she enjoyed crafting, baking, collecting jewelry, and watching her favorite movies over and over again. Above all, she cherished her children, embodying the true meaning of a mother’s unconditional love.
Susie is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Denise Terry; son, Randy James Terry and spouse, Blakely; daughter, Ellen May Ingram and spouse, James; six grandchildren, Madison Nicole Terry, Nicole Belle Phelps, Larry Dean Phelps, Samantha Lynn Phelps, Morgan Whisenhunt, and Dylan Whisenhunt; seven great grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Regina Whaley, Corrine Alvarado, Katherine Torres, and James Dee Terry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Impact Christian Center of Fort Worth, 414 S Cherry Ln, White Settlement, Texas 76108.
The funeral chapel is not involved in the service.
