ROCKLAND…………………Suzanne Lewis Bowden, 68, of Rockland, died unexpectedly on Tuesday,

July 22, 2025 in Rockland. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 30, 1957, she was the

daughter of Emery and Dorothy Lewis. She was the fourth of five siblings in her close-knit

family.

Suzanne graduated from the Community School in Camden and later earned an associates

degree at the University of Maine.

Her employment included Tibbetts Industries in Camden followed by Rockport Elementary

School, where she worked as a teacher's aide. Later, she owned and operated the Candle Shop

in Camden where her creative and entrepreneurial spirit could be reflected through her work.

A loving mother, Sue found her greatest joy in raising her two sons and creating a warm and

supportive home for her family. Her passions in life included observing wildlife, cooking,

painting, watching classic television shows, and building Legos. She loved working on

genealogy.

Sue is survived by her mother, Dorothy Lewis, siblings, Barbara, Barry and Mark; her beloved

sons, Nick and Nathanial Bowden. She was predeceased by her father, Emery Lewis and sister,

Martha.

A private family service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden. Condolences may be

shared at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home,

& Cremation Service, 9 Mountain Street, Camden.
