Ted Bowers, 77 of Baltimore passed away Sunday, January 12 at Ohio Health Pickerington, unexpectedly. Ted was born on August 10, 1947 to Alice “Louise” (Burnworth) Bowers and Nelson Bowers.
Ted is survived by his only son, Shane (Melissa) Bowers.
Ted grew up in Baltimore and was a graduate of Liberty Union High School in 1965. Ted married the love of his life Sue Brown in 1966. He retired from Lucent Technologies in 2000. After retirement Ted and Sue became snowbirds and spent their winters in Florida. During those winters, Ted enjoyed having breakfast at the Lake Alford Diner, riding around in his golf cart, and playing golf. Ted was very active in his community in Florida. While at home in the summer he enjoyed his morning coffee and conversations at Weidner’s Corner with his friends and golf buddies.
Ted is preceded in death by his wife Sue (Brown) Bowers, and his parents Alice “Louise” (Burnworth) Bowers and Nelson Bowers.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S Main St., Baltimore, OH 43105, with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Family and friends may visit from 12-2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
