Teresa Lynn Applewhite, 67, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday October 23, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at her home.
Memorial Service is November 1, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Decatur, at 2 PM.
Officiant is David Lowrie.
Teresa was born November 27, 1956 in Duncan Oklahoma to Loyal K and Francis (Harris) Couch. She graduated from Duncan High School and attended Central State for 4 years. Teresa was united in holy matrimony on September 20, 1986, to Walter Applewhite in Dallas, Texas.
She worked as a teacher's aide at Crandall school district and an administrative clerk for 10 years with Sun Gas company of Dallas. Teresa and Walter were members of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. She loved spending time with her family and friends when she could. Teresa was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great - grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends very much.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are; her husband Walter Applewhite; her brother Michael J. Couch and wife Priscilla; her daughters Stacy Lynn Hanna and husband Blake, Kristina Leigh Richter and husband Hoyt; son, Robert Dennison Applewhite and wife Heather; grandchildren, Ryan Charles Applewhite, Robert Reid Applewhite, Maryssa Gail Prichard, Logan Jake Hanna, Ethan Jacob Richter, Kyndall Leigh Richter; great grandchildren, Olivia Applewhite and Saylor Prichard, numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Decatur Base Camp or Saint Jude Research Hospital.
