Teresa Lynn Tackett Hardymon, 64, of Louisville, passed away peacefully with loved ones around her, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Baptist Health Louisville.
Born in Maysville, Kentucky on January 4, 1961, Teresa was the daughter of Lowell F. Tackett and the late Letha Bernice Maddox Tackett.
Teresa had worked as a teacher for 12 years in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. Her passion for writing extended to blogs and devotionals, as well as mentoring and starting writing groups to encourage and engage her fellow writers. She was an inspiration and a "guiding light" for people to share their stories. Teresa was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church in Louisville.
In addition to her father Lowell, Teresa is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rocky Hardymon; her sister, Mari Beth Tackett; her brother, David Tackett and wife Tonya; her loving mother-in-law, Shirley Jordan; her sister- in-law, Tammy Madison; her brothers-in-law, Ron and Jeff Hardymon; her niece, Bethany Nicole Manning and husband Brooks; her nephew, Austin Tackett and wife Baylee; her two great nieces, Ellie Jane Manning and Everly May Tackett; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her mother Letha, Teresa was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Fleming County Cemetery (where she will be laid to rest) with Pastor David Cleeland officiating.
Pallbearers include David Tackett, Austin Tackett, Ron Hardymon, Jeff Hardymon, Brooks Manning, and Rajiv Rodrigues.
