Terry Fisher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home - Wetumka on Oct. 2, 2024.
Terry Randall Fisher was born on December 8, 1953 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to William D. and Effie Mae. Fisher. He passed from this life on September 30, 2024 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years old.
Terry completed 9th grade at Graham, Oklahoma. He was a veteran. He joined the Army when he was 17 years old and served for two years. After the military, Terry started his career as a farmer and milk dairy, even taking time to go onto the Rodeo circuit and then set his sights on ranching. During his spare time, he built his 1st welding truck using only the spare parts he could get his hands on. He then set his sights on his very own construction company and Fisher Construction was created and became a major contractor all over the state of Oklahoma. Terry continued to hone in on his many talents and skills by opening a motorcycle shop and a gas station, Laundromats, Storage Buildings, and even helped to open a Tattoo shop. He had 3 wheeled tricycles and had a snow cone caboose that he took to festivals, carnivals, and fairs. Every Christmas season, he provided Horse & Buggy rides in Tulsa.
Terry worked extremely hard, and he played even harder. He was able to retire to his dream setting, to a house that he built on Eufaula Lake, Checotah, Oklahoma. He regularly attended The Fisher Church Camp where he talked to his Maker and Miss Effie. He was a pilot and flew his co-op plane as well as flying and teaching as a Certified Flight Instructor on his Powered Parachute Plane. He rode his Thoroughbred Stallion automatic Trike, along with a vast assortment of different motorcycles. He had four wheelers, a SeaDoo, Pontoon Boat, and many more toys for family and friends to share great memories. His greatest passions were his animals, especially his dogs and horses. Other pets included a monkey, bobcat, racoons, & mules. He took great pleasure in making people laugh and showing them a good time. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Terry famously would play pranks and give anyone a hard time about anything. The only time to be afraid was if he wasn't giving you a hard time. His personality was bigger than life and he never met a stranger. He had the biggest heart and soul on this Earth, and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you. He loved his Creator and Mother beyond any measurable scale.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Effie Mae Fisher, one brother, a baby boy, and sister Stella Mae Stover, nephews Randall Hill and Paul Scott.
Terry was survived by his sister, Nadine Tomlinson, brother, Darrell Fisher, and one son, Bo Posey & wife, Rita Posey – grandchildren, Dalton and Lexxi, and great granddaughter, Raven Garcia, and many nieces and nephews, Robby Hill, Mike & Linda Hill, Cindy Townsend, Ron Hill, Denise & Lee Larson, Donna & Doug Zapp, Rick & Judy Hill, Eric Fisher, Jennifer Fisher Moody, and Lisa Fisher-Marroquin, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Jeff Farrow, Dean Akins, Greg Ogle, Geno Snell, Paul Griggs, and Craig Petters.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dalton Posey, Zachary Arnett, Andrew Arnett, Jason Earls, Billy Brown, Dan Parish, and Larry Cousins.

Terry is one of the most giving people I know. He´s got a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. We met Terry on a trail ride in Oklahoma, when my husband´s horse got sick, Terry was fast to help us find a vet. He didn´t know us, just knew we were two kids from Alabama. He opened up his home to us that weekend so we had a place to stay. We have built a relationship with him since this very day. It wasn´t just 2 1/2 short weeks ago we stopped at his house on our way back from Utah. Terry insisted that we stop by for the night even though we weren´t going to make it there until midnight. He did not care, he stayed up and had his barn ready for our horses. I will never forget how happy Terry always was to see us and help us whenever needed.
