Thomas Carney Obituary

Tom was a graduate of East High School. He worked as a tool and die maker and moldmaker for 40 years at Lytle Tool and Erie Mold & Equipment. Following his long career in manufacturing, he became the owner and operator of Erie All Snax, which he ran until his retirement at age 77.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Tom made his Cursillo Movement in 1985. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Tom is survived by his wife of 65 years, Stella Carney, retired from Erie Insurance; one son, Thomas J. Carney (Maria); two brothers: Dan Carney and Joe Carney (Sue); two sisters: Veronica Leech and Kathy Burch (Bob); a grandson, Thomas P. Carney; and great-grandchildren: Reilly, Remy and Ivy.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two sons: Scott and Mark Carney. Tom is further survived by their children and families.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd.) on Sunday, October 19th from 2 to 5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, 837 Bartlett Rd, Harborcreek on Tuesday, October 21st at 11 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 E 10th St, Erie, PA 16511. Condolences may be offered at www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.

Stella and family, our hearts are broken. Tom was very special to us and we really enjoyed being in his company. Allen will miss their lengthy phone chats and I will miss his smile and hugs. Our deepest sympathies to you all.
