Tammy Scharman Obituary

Tammy Scharman

1958 - 2025

Salt Lake City-Tammy Ann Scharman, born on October 14, 1958, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was 66 years old.

Tammy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughters Ashley Gomez, Lindsay Scharman, Nicole Amtoft, and Dallas Amtoft; her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her oldest brother Darrell Scharman; and her lifelong partner, John Amtoft. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Scharman; her brothers, Dennis, Perry and her sister Tina Scharman; and her Aunt Thelma Scharman.

Tammy was a devoted mother whose unwavering support, wisdom, and love were a source of strength for her family. Her remarkable ability to light up any room with her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Tammy's determination and resilience shone brightly when she returned to school to earn her high school diploma after leaving South High School. Balancing the demands of raising a family, she achieved this milestone while her middle daughter was in kindergarten-a testament to her strength and dedication.

Tammy had an extraordinary way of bringing joy to everyone she met. Her warmth and compassion touched countless lives, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

As Tammy often said with a smile, "You're gonna miss me when I'm gone." Boy, was she right. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. "So it's true, when all is said and done, GRIEF is the price we pay for love." WE LOVE YOU MAMA!!!!

Tammy was like a second mother to me. I always loved just hanging out on your bed and watching movies and laugh our butts off from us playing around with you! "One more day", the song you dedicated to your father whom you have missed so much, is all I can think about and my heart filles with joy for you, that you are with him now! I love you Tammy, thank you being an Angel to me here and now a Angel above!
