Thomas Richter Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Eugene Richter, 73 of Spring Green, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025. Tom was born on March 30, 1951 in Highland, WI to Arnold and Mary (Neff) Richter. Tom lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, love, and devotion to his family.
Tom opened TR's Service where he was known for his many years as a skilled diesel mechanic. A true family man, Tom would often bring his daughters to his work, and you would usually find them getting into mischief at the shop. After he closed his business, Tom had many endeavors and was a jack of all trades, always willing to step in and help a friend or family member in need.
A beloved father and grandfather, Tom is survived by his three daughters: Rebecca (Lee) Onsager of Hayward, WI, Lisa (Fred) Hankel of Arena, WI, and Lynn (Michael) Giroux of Lone Rock, WI. He cherished his role as a father and found immense pride and joy in the lives and accomplishments of his children. His legacy lives on through them and the values, love and resilience he instilled.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan Richter, Shantai Giroux, Preston Hying, Jace Noble, Jarrett Noble, Max Giroux, Jianna Behnke and Levi Hankel. Who will forever remember their grandfather for his gentle spirit and humor.
Tom grew up with 11 siblings and is survived by his brothers and sisters, Arnold Richter, Mary (Tom) Dickinson, Bernice (Bill) Jacobs, Bertha Swinehart, Philip (Jane) Richter, Diane (Jim ) Kron, Elma Ward, Pauline Richardson, Mark (Joan) Richter and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tom is also survived by his dear friend and mother of his children, Donna Dietzman. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sister Juanita Richter, Brother Leo Richter, and Brother- in-law, Logan "Logie" Swinehart.
Tom will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held. However, we encourage everyone to have a drink, especially a Windsor and coke or a Miller High Life, which were his drinks of choice for many years, and share a toast and a smile in his memory.
